Two good-byes and two hellos

At the occasion of the AGM held by the South Tyrol Young Haflinger and Noriker Breeders’ Association on 17 February 2024 in Bolzano/Bozen, the SHNJ elected its new Board, reviewed the past year’s activities and presented its plans for 2024. Chairman Tobias Zöggeler also thanked Haflinger Queen Andrea Aster for her dedicated work. After the presentation and approval of the financial report, the highlight of the General Assembly followed: Two long-standing Board members were bid farewell and elections were held.

Good-bye to two veterans

Two Board members decided not to run for office again: Claudia Pircher, the youngest and at the same time longest-serving member, was given a heavy-hearted farewell after many years of hard work and commitment. Hannes Gruber, too, concluded his work on the committee, expressing his thanks for the good cooperation and all the fun he had in his work for the Board.

Two welcomes

Another two Association members stood for election: Heidi Marini from Appiano/Eppan and Martin Zöggeler from Aica di Fiè/Völser Aicha, both of whom were promptly elected and look forward to joining the Board. With the SHNJ Board once again complete, the Association is all ready to kick off an interesting and eventful year with renewed vigour.

The new Board is composed as follows:

Markus Egger: Vice-Chairman and representative on the Sports Advisory Council

Birgit Locher: Secretary

Heidi Marini: Youth representative on the Sports Advisory Council

Svenja Ratschiller: Youth representative on the Breeding Advisory Council

Evi Thaler: Treasurer

Silvia Weger: photos and management of social media channels

Martin Zöggeler: Board member
