06/11/2019 – On 27 October 2019, the 37th edition of the South Tyrol Trot Racing County Championships for Haflingers took place in the Val Sarentino/Sarntal valley. Alfons Kofler's ZWEETY from Renon/Ritten with Alois Egger in the driving seat won the three-year olds' race. ZWICKI with owner-turned-driver Siegfried Nußbaumer and Jonas Sembenotti's ZACHARIN, both from the Val Sarentino/Sarntal valley, came in second and third, respectively. UMINA, with owner Alfons Kofler from Renon/Ritten in the driving seat, proved to be the fastest among the mares aged four to five ahead of Sonja Vieider's VICKY and Kurt Aster's UVANA. Alois Egger and ROSARIA (also owned by Alfons Kofler) took home the coveted County Champion's title in the racing class which unites the in the cream of the crop in trotting – the mares above the age of five years. Josef Unterholzner came in second with his mare GABI followed by Josef Reiterer and SAKIRA. ROSARIA, this time with Martin Gufler in the sulky, also won the Young Talents category ahead of Hannes Hafner with ESTEIA (owner: Daniela Ilmer) and Claudia Pircher with QUENDI (owner: August Schwabl).
