Noriker horses are evaluated on the basis of four criteria points for assessment, whose definition has been modified and improved according to the development which the breeding has taken in recent years.
In order to adapt the horses' characteristics to the requirements of modern breeding, the desired height of withers has, for example, been raised to 152 cm for mares and 157 cm for stallions. Only horses with withers of this height will be entered in the breeding register and in the population register. {} The "Development" criterion used up until now has been replaced with "Overall development" and has been further defined with regards to its contents.
